I do graphic design and production for printing and internet. I also consult on
advertising and marketing.
1996 to 2003
Mace-Kingsley Ranch School, New Mexico
Marketing Manager: Planned
and executed all marketing and advertising activities. Including website, bulk
mail, print media, and PR functions. Brought this program for at-risk children
from 5 to over 100 inquiries a week. Functions also included handling family and
customer relations.
1983 to 1996
J. Michaels, Inc., Brooklyn, New York
ADVERTISING DIRECTOR: Responsible
for planning and execution of advertising for a 7-store furniture retailer with
average annual sales of $11,000,000. Media included newspaper, direct mail,
radio, and sales promotions. Directly involved in the allocation of the
$1,000,000 plus advertising budget. Reorganized production methods, which
resulted in $22,000 annual savings. Established an in-house computerized graphic
system, which saved over $7,000 a year in production cost.
1978 to 1983
Bernath Studios, New York, NY
STUDIO MANAGER: Coordinated up to 9 artists in production of a variety of
graphic design projects. Included book and record album cover design,
advertisements, and 4 color promotional material. Established and administrated
job scheduling, record keeping, and collection. Serviced my own clients with
promotion consultation, design, copy writing, ad placement and printing.
1974 to 1978
Mozert Enterprises, Ocala, Florida
CREATIVE DIRECTOR: Founded this advertising agency with partner. Handled
all creative, design, and production functions. Emphasis on print media,
signage, and specialty items, but also included radio, and TV commercials.
Company expanded from 2 to 8 clients in 6 months.
1969 to 1974
Advanced Publications, Inc., Copenhagen, Denmark
ESTABILISHMENT & COMMUNICATION OFFICER: Performed various marketing,
advertising, and sales activities for this international publisher. Help
establish a 35 person translation department, to translate English text books
onto audio tape. Coordinated and ran sales tours. Assisted in promotional
planning and production, including the operation of an in-house offset press.
Supervised a 30 person collating and mail sorting department.
1964 to 1968
Laf-Mor Studios, New York, NY
ART DIRECTOR/PRODUCTION MANAGER: Established the art and production
departments of this greeting card company. Performed every step of production
from design, illustration, color separation and stripping for offset printing.
Supervised a staff of 3 full time and 6 freelance artists.

and Mac platforms. Proficient in QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word,
FrontPage, Microsoft Expression, PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator.
GRADUATED
School of Visual Art in New York in 1964. Majored in design, fine art,
illustration and film.
